Chevrolet releases Chevy Captiva diesel AWD

Following the marketing success of the Chevy Captiva 2400 cc engine and 2000 cc diesel engine, GM Autoworld Indonesia on behalf of Chevrolet is releasing the newest variant of the car on the Indonesian market.

The Chevy Captiva diesel AWD, with 2000 cc VCDi engine and an active on demand All Wheel Drive system, offers both driver and passengers extreme comfort and stability as they dash through the streets of the city.

With an environment friendly 16-valve engine, complete with common rail direct injection and supported by intercoolers and variable geometry turbo diesel air supply, the car can reach a maximum power of 150PS/4000 RPM and maximum torque of 320 NM/2000 RPM.

The AWD system installed is also different from the typical all-wheel drive, in which on a normal track only its two front wheels are pushing. This results in lower fuel consumption. And with interesting features like the 5-speed automatic with GM Tiptonic, automatic climate control, traction control and driver information display, this SUV is a winner.

Top 25 Facebook Games - May, 2009

The Facebook gaming leaderboards have experienced quite a number of changes since we last took a look at them a month ago! Over half of the games and applications have lost rather significant numbers, but at the same time, such losses have given a number of new titles a chance to make their appearance in the Top 25.

The highlights:

* Zynga and Playfish’s battle for the #1 spot continues between Texas HoldEm Poker and Pet Society, with the latter closing the gap with a gain of 1,348,759 to Zynga’s 1,054,775.
* However, that same growth did not hold true for spots 4 - 6 with Bumper Sticker, Pass A Drink, and Lil Green Patch losing about a million active users each.
* Playfish title Geo Challenge kept it’s #8 spot with 3.97 million active users this past month with Word Challenge coming in behind, but surprisingly enough the other Playfish titles were ousted by MindJolt Games who jumped all the way from #17 to #10.
* Zynga RPGs Vampire Wars and Street Racing increased in popularity with the former coming out on top at #12.
* Behind the major players, new comer Know-It-All-Triva appeared on the scene at #15 with 2,543,557 users, followed by another fresh face, 101 Eggs & More with 2,464,247 users.
* The past month also played host to two other new games for the Top 25 with Bejeweled Blitz from PopCap Games at #21 and Playfish’s newest title Restaurant City at #23.

The competition between Playfish and Zynga within the Top 25 has always been neck and neck in recent months, and this time around it looks to be Zynga that is coming out on top with all of their titles gaining traffic, and many of the Playfish titles (aside from Pet Society) experiencing slight declines.

Facebook suspends two Holocaust-denial groups

Under pressure from activists, Facebook has disabled two of five pages dedicated to Holocaust-denial groups.

Barry Schnitt, a spokesman for the social-networking site, confirmed the removal in an e-mail to CNET’s Technically Incorrect.

“Two of the groups have been disabled, but the other three remain,” Schnitt wrote. “We are monitoring these groups and if the discussion among members degrades to the point of promoting hate or violence, despite whatever disclaimer the group description provides, we will take them down. This has happened in the past, especially when controversial groups are publicized.”

One of the most vocal supporters for the pages’ removal has been Brian Cuban, a Texas attorney and brother of Dallas Mavericks team owner Mark Cuban.

Brian Cuban and others have argued that the Holocaust-denial pages violate Facebook’s terms of service, which prohibits content that is hateful.

While Cuban said it’s great that two of the pages have been suspended, he said Facebook’s actions do not go far enough. “It misses the crux of the dispute, which is a fundamental difference in the belief of what Holocasut Denial represents,” he said.

“Facebook sees Holocaust Denial as an unpopular, even rupugnant history theory,” Cuban wrote in an e-mail to CNN. “I see Holocaust Denial as a mantra of hate against Jews, and therefore no group should be tolerated. Facebook should not be picking and choosing who they think hates Jews and who does not. All the groups should go.”

Aiken's Lambert Rant: Claymate Turns To Clayhate

Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert's names have been linked quite a bit in the media lately--not just because of rumors (reported in the Chicago Sun-Times last week) that Clay actually wanted to record a duet with Adam, but because after Adam's shocking second-place finish on American Idol this week, many Lambert supporters have predicted that Adam will follow in Clay's footsteps and ultimately be more successful than the singer who actually won this year, Kris Allen.

But yesterday on his official website, ClayOnline.com, Clay Aiken made it clear in a personal blog titled "Silence Broken" that he is not a Lambert supporter at all.
