Day Earth Stood Still [DvDRip] (2008)

"The Day the Earth Stood Still" is 20th Century Fox's contemporary reinvention of its 1951 classic. Keanu Reeves portrays Klaatu, an alien whose arrival on our planet triggers a global upheaval. As governments and scientists race to unravel the mystery behind the visitor's appearance, a woman (Jennifer Connelly) and her young stepson get caught up in his mission - and come to understand the ramifications of his being a self-described "friend to the Earth."

The 2008 remake about an alien and his indestructible robot will star Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, Jennifer Connelly as Helen Benson, Jaden Smith as Jacob, and Kathy Bates. Gort has not been cast at this time and will most likely be created using SFX.

Dark Knight [DVDRip] (2008)

With just one year having passed after taking out Ra's Al Ghul's plan to have Gotham eliminated and the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Jonathan Crane AKA the Scarecrow, and after the city was nearly plundered with his toxins, Bruce Wayne and his vigilante alter-ego the Batman, continue the seemingly endless effort to bring order to Gotham, with the help of Lt. James Gordon and newly appointed District Attorney Harvey Dent. But a new threat has now emerged into the streets. The Dark Knight faces a rising psychopathic criminal called The Joker, whose eerie grin, laughter, and inhuman morality makes him as dangerous than what he has yet to unleash. It becomes an agenda to Batman to stop the mysterious Joker at all costs, knowing that both of them are in an opposite line. One has no method at all and seeks to see the world plunge into the fire he has yet to light. One represents the symbol of hope and uses his own shadow to bring the peace and order he has yet to accomplish doing.

Bolt [DVDRip] (2008)

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes Bolt, the tale of a superstar TV pup (voiced by John Travolta) who gets plopped in the middle of America with seemingly no way back to the glam and glitz of Hollywood. Thanks to his starring role on a hit television show, Bolt the pooch has become a household name. But Bolt has bought into his own heroic image, now believing that he really possesses the super-canine powers of his fictional television series. Harold & Kumar : Go to the White Castle [DVDRIP] (2004)

Harold Lee and Kumar Patel are second-generation Americans of Oriental and Asian descent respectively. While Harold is employed as a Stock Analyst, Kumar is a medical student. Harold is the neat and clean person while Kumar is the exact opposite. Harold is in love with his neighbor, Maria, of Hispanic descent, but has not told her yet. One evening the duo plan to be stoned but Harold's Caucasian co-workers end up saddling him with their work. Kumar convinces Harold to do this work later and together they attempt to relax at their apartment. After watching TV for sometime the duo see a White Castle commercial, and decide to satisfy their hunger with burgers. They set about this task but find out that White Castle has re-located. In the process Harold gets bitten by an animal and ends up in hospital; after being discharged their car breaks down and Randy fixes it and also invites them, albeit in vain, to get intimate with his gorgeous wife, Liane; they pick up a hitch-hiker, none other than Neil Patrick Harris, and when they stop at a Gas Store, they are harassed by Caucasian/skinhead males, who also assault and damage the store; when the duo return they find that Neil and Harold's car is missing; while jay crossing Harold gets arrested by a Caucasian Police Officer, who just loves to pick on visible minorities, holds Harold in a cell with another African-American male; Kumar helps Harold escape and both run to hide in the bush - and come face to face with a cheetah. Will the hapless duo end up being a meal (instead of eating one themselves), and if not, their escapade will more than likely land them in even more hot water - especially when the Police issue an APB and a hand-drawn sketch for these highly visible escapees.

Miami Vice ([DvDRip] 2006)

Ricardo Tubbs is urbane and dead smart. He lives with Bronx-born Intel analyst Trudy, as they work undercover transporting drug loads into South Florida to identify a group responsible for three murders. Sonny Crockett [to the untrained eye, his presentation may seem unorthodox, but procedurally, he is sound] is charismatic and flirtatious until - while undercover working with the supplier of the South Florida group - he gets romantically entangled with Isabella, the Chinese-Cuban wife of an arms and drugs trafficker. The best undercover identity is oneself with the volume turned up and restraint unplugged. The intensity of the case pushes Crockett and Tubbs out onto the edge where identity and fabrication become blurred, where cop and player become one - especially for Crockett in his romance with Isabella and for Tubbs in the provocation of an assault on those he loves.

Miss Congeniality 2 [DvDRip] (2005)

FBI agent-turned-reluctant beauty queen Gracie Hart (played by Sandra Bullock) is taking on both bad guys and high glamour again in this sequel to the comedy smash Miss Congeniality. Despite their differences, the two find themselves working side by side when two of Gracie's pals from the pageant -- contest winner Cheryl Frasier (Heather Burns) and master of ceremonies Stan Fields (William Shatner) -- fall victim to kidnappers. As she did on the first film, Sandra Bullock served as both producer and star for Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, while director John Pasquin's credits include several episodes of the situation comedy George Lopez, also produced by Bullock.

Epic Movie [DVDRip] (2006)

Lucy is the daughter of a museum curator; Edward is an Mexican orphan; Susan is an adopted orphan from Namibia; and Peter is a student at the Mutant Academy. All four end up winning an epic adventure with Willy Wonka. When they find out that Willy uses human parts for his products, they manage to escape via a wardrobe, straight into Gnarnia, where they will be trained and betrayed by Harry Potter and the pirates of the Caribean respectively, and must seek the assistance of Aslo to battle the invincible White Witch and her hordes. The plan goes awry when one of their very own ends up being seduced and then abducted by her.

Cooze dates Ashley's roommate Denise -- but finds himself in a possible "Crying Game" scenario. Dwight and the other Betas fight off Geek House for social supremacy on campus. The rivalry gets so intense that the only way to settle it is through direct competition in the Greek Games, an ancient campus ritual that went so far out of control it was banned forty years ago. It turns out that even Geeks can be bullies, so the Betas have to pull together to fend off the Geeks and prove that some traditions deserve to be upheld.

Mobile phone maker Samsung announced on Tuesday that Samsung Mondi, the Mobile WiMAX-enabled handheld device it already announced for the US market, would become commercially available in the country starting August 1, 2009. The new phone has been designed to work with Clearwire's Clear Mobile WiMAX service, and its availability comes in line with the recently announced launch of the 4G network in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Portland.

According to the company, the new Samsung Mondi (the Latin word for “world”) is capable of delivering double the download speeds that comparable devices would be able to deliver on 3G networks. Not only that the phone will benefit from the extended availability of WiMAX, but it will also offer Wi-Fi connectivity, so that users will enjoy strong connectivity at all times.

The upcoming phone features a solid black finish, a horizontally sliding full QWERTY keyboard, fast access to E-mail, Internet, video content and business applications, multimedia capabilities, and support for a wide range of services, including Fring, Gypsii and Windows Live Messenger. We also have to mention the GPS receiver it packs, along with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, the 3-megapixel camera, the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, or the Opera 9.5 that it comes pre-loaded with.

“The Mondi is a perfect example of the powerful and stylish innovation that Samsung is bringing to the U.S. mobile market,” said Omar Khan, senior vice president of Strategy and Product Management for Samsung Mobile. “The Mondi packs productivity tools, entertainment options and content management applications into a compact device that is flexible and intuitive.”

Users will also find that the Samsung Mondi comes with enhanced customization options, delivering a set of widgets users can place anywhere they like on the home screen. In addition, it offers easy connection to Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile and other business applications. “With the Samsung Mondi, people can take advantage of powerful broadband speeds to access familiar, easy-to-use software like Microsoft Office Mobile on a sleek, new mobile Internet device,” said Stephanie Ferguson, general manager of the Business Experiences Team at Microsoft Corp.

While currently available on Samsung's website and at the company’s authorized distributors, the new phone will become available for purchase through Clearwire's retail outlets starting August 1. In addition, customers will also find it available in select Best Buy stores located in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Portland. The handset will feature a price tag of $449, or $349 with a 2-year service agreement with Clearwire.

Daughtry debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Album Chart

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Rock band Daughtry debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. pop chart Wednesday, ending a three-week stretch in which Michael Jackson claimed the top-selling album.

Daughtry's "Leave This Town" sold 269,000 units during the week ended July 19, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

It marks the Chris Daughtry-fronted band's second No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Its self-titled freshman set debuted at No. 2 with 304,000 units in 2006. It went to No. 1 in its ninth week, an incredible feat considering that most No. 1 albums get to No. 1 by debuting there.

Michael Jackson mania isn't over on the charts. His albums, which are not eligible for the Billboard 200 since they were released more than 18 months ago, loomed large on the Top Comprehensive Albums chart, which combines current and catalog releases. His 2003 "Number Ones" hits collection shifted 192,000 copies, good for No. 2 behind Daughtry.

All told, Jackson claimed six out of the top 10 on Top Comprehensive Albums, including "The Essential Michael Jackson" (125,000), "Thriller" (114,000), "Off the Wall" (68,000), "Bad" (61,000) and "Dangerous" (55,000).

Last week's Billboard 200 champ, Maxwell's "BLACKsummers'night," slipped to No. 2 with 103,000. The "Hannah Montana 3" soundtrack was also down one, to No. 3, with 73,000, as was the "Now 31" compilation at No. 4 with 69,000. The Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." held at No. 5 with 54,000.

White Stripes frontman Jack White's latest side project, the Dead Weather, saw its first album "Horehound" enter at No. 6 with 51,000. White is joined by Alison Mosshart (of the Kills), Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (of the Greenhornes and White's other project the Raconteurs). All told, this is the sixth top 10 album for White, counting his three top 10s with the White Stripes, two with the Raconteurs and the new Dead Weather set.

R&B singer Joe claimed his fourth top 10 album and second in less than a year as "Signature" arrived at No. 7 with 49,000 copies. Last October, "Joe Thomas, New Man" entered and peaked at No. 8 with 54,000.

Rapper Twista debuted at No. 8 with "Category F5," which sold 45,000 copies. Taylor Swift's "Fearless" rose one to No. 9 with 37,000, and Kings of Leon's "Only By the Night" jumped four to No. 10 with 33,000.

Overall album sales totaled 6.78 million units, down 6.8 percent compared to the sum last week and down 9.3% compared to the same sales week of 2008. Year-to-date album sales stand at 195.4 million, down 13.9 percent compared to the same total at this point last year.

Solar Eclipse "Ring" Seen in some of Earth

A total solar eclipse passing over some of Earth's most densely populated regions on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, may become the most viewed eclipse ever.

People across central India and in parts of Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Myanmar will briefly find themselves in daytime darkness before the solar eclipse proceeds into China.

Most of the best viewing opportunities are in China, where some 30 million people will be able to witness the solar eclipse in the coastal cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou alone, according to veteran eclipse scientist Jay Pasachoff of Williams College in Massachusetts.

The eclipse will then continue east, passing over Japan's Ryukyu Islands before reaching its maximum duration point over the Pacific Ocean, where the sun will be completely blocked by the moon for 6 minutes and 39 seconds, according to NASA scientist Fred Espenak.

Thousands of overseas tourists and potentially millions of Chinese are flocking to areas along the eclipse path, where hotels are charging higher rates, according to Chinese media reports.

The July 2009 total solar eclipse is expected to have the longest duration of totality in the 21st century, experts say, and should give Pasachoff plenty of data to keep him and his team busy for months.

Pasachoff will see only about five and half minutes of totality from a site in eastern China, but "once you have five minutes-plus of totality, the extra minute that we could have [seen] is not significant," he added.

Man Utd cancel match in Jakarta on the 2009 Asia tour

Manchester United have called off their match in Indonesia after bomb blasts hit the hotel they were due to stay in.

The squad arrived in Kuala Lumpur ahead of Saturday's clash against a Malaysia XI and were set to face an Indonesia All Star side on Monday.

At least nine people were killed and 50 injured in the attacks in Jakarta.

The Premier League champions are also lined up for two friendlies in South Korea and China on their tour of the Far East ahead of the new season.

A United statement said: "Following the explosions in Jakarta - one of which was at the hotel the team were due to stay in - and based on advice received, the directors have informed the Indonesian FA that the club cannot fulfil the fixture in Jakarta on the 2009 Asia tour."

Monday's match in Jakarta had been a 100,000 sell-out, with the club due to stay in the city's Ritz-Carlton for four nights.

"We are working on a revised itinerary outside Indonesia with the promoters and we will make a further announcement when these decisions have been made," the statement added.

"We are deeply disappointed at not being able to visit Indonesia and thank the Indonesian FA and our fans for their support. Our thoughts go to all those affected by the blasts."

It would have been the first time United had visited the South-East Asian country since 1975 and club captain Gary Neville said the team had been looking forward to playing in front of their fans in Jakarta.

"Obviously the players are disappointed not to be going to Indonesia," the 34-year-old defender said. "However, the decision is out of my control as I'm just here to play football."

After their scheduled game in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, the Red Devils are set to face South Korea's FC Seoul on 24 July before taking on Chinese side Hangzhou Greentown two days later.

Obama condemns Jakarta bomb attacks

US President Barack Obama said he “strongly condemned” bomb attacks on two hotels in Jakarta on Friday, which killed at least nine people and injured over 50.

Praising the Indonesian government’s ongoing efforts to fight terrorism, Obama, who spent part of his childhood in Indonesia, said the United States stood ready to help.

“Indonesia has been steadfast in combating violent extremism, and has successfully curbed terrorist activity within its borders,” he said in a statement released by the White House as quoted by The New York Times.

“However, these attacks make it clear that extremists remain committed to murdering innocent men, women and children of any faith in all countries.”

Two Bombs exploded at The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott

Jakarta - Bomb blasts tore through two luxury hotels Friday morning in Jakarta, Indonesia, killing at least nine people in what the country's president called a "terrorist" attack. The explosions at the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott hotels, which punched out the windows of a usually crowded restaurant and sent plumes of smoke into the sky.

Officials said 9 people died and more than 59 people wounded on Jakarta blast early this morning. It happened not only in 1 place, but 2 prestigious with highly security alert hotels: The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott. I feel sick and don’t have to strength to do anything today. I sit still in front of TV (Which never happened before) and bear with the hot and humid weather of Jakarta, typing breaking news from TV to Twitter and Facebook.

Many people have slammed the bomb attacks include US President Barack Obama. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said the bombings as the work of extremists.

"I condemn this terrorist attack," Yudhoyono said. "I know they will never stop."

Police said the bomb at the Marriott likely came from the basement beneath the coffee shop on the ground floor, which would have been busy at breakfast time.

At the Ritz, windows were blown out on the second floor, as though the blast occurred from inside a hotel restaurant that also would have been crowded with a breakfast crowd

One of the people killed was identified as Timothy David McKay, 60, a New Zealand national, according to state-run Antara News Agency. Authorities were working to identify the other victims, the agency reported. It was heartbreaking to see Mr Tim McKay sitting helpless with blood all over his body.

Dim-witted gossip queens Lynn and Marla are also stirring up more trouble while Pete's friend Cliff, now a fugitive, works as the ship's pirate bartender while Gerri is around as well as stage director Foosball. Secondary characters include the University Dean Dryer and the ship's captain who's wife is sought after by every guy on board.

Land of the Lost [DVD RIP]

Will Ferrell stars as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall, sucked into one and spat back through time. Way back. Chicken Little [DVDRip] (2005)

After Chicken Little (Zach Braff) causes big-time havoc when he mistakes a falling acorn for a piece of the sky, his name is mud in his hometown of Oakey Oaks. Down but not out, he struggles mightily to restore his reputation and make his dad, Buck Cluck, proud. Chicken Little joins the local baseball team and, despite the fact that he is barely bigger than a baseball himself, he manages to smack a championship-winning homerun. HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I (usually shortened to HIStory) is a double album by Michael Jackson, released on June 20, 1995, and is Jackson's ninth album. The first disc, named "HIStory Begins" consists of a selection of Jackson's greatest hits from the singer's past fifteen years, while the second, named "HIStory Continues" features new songs, with the exception of "Come Together", which was recorded in 1987.

Obama looking at a girl?

A picture is worth 1,000 words. Those 1,000 words might just be wrong.

A photo of Barack Obama allegedly ogling a 17-year-old girl, junior delegate to the G8 in Italy, has caused quite the stir online in the last 48 hours.

Here's the image in question, in case you have not seen it. Looks a lot like the U.S. President (and French chief exec Nicolas Sarkozy) are enjoying the view, no?

A photo taken of Obama appears to show him checking out a girl's butt. France's President Nicolas Sarkozy appears to be smirking in the picture. The photo of Obama checking out a girl looks bad, but things are not always what they seem. Fox news anchor Greta Van Susteren looked at the video from when the photo was taken. According to Greta, Obama is not checking out the girls butt as the picture leads us to believe.

The girl is question is Mayora Tavares from Brazil. Taveres is reportedly 16 years old. When the picture was taken the junior delegates were lining up to take pictures with the G8 leaders. Mayora Tavares is a junior G-8 delegate from Brazil.
